Yeah the whole OpenAI exodus brought in a ton of people and Anthropic was struggling to meet the previous usage already

That’s why there’re now work hours restrictions

Yes that make sense also Since Anthropic says other Chinese companies using their data for their models, they might be limiting use on new accounts.

How ironic: once the exfiltrators of all of the web's data have consolidated it into their own walled-garden it becomes 'proprietary' and must - of course - be protected from exfiltration by others as if it was their own.

This is something these tech giants ignore intentionally. Infact many people don't even know about how they train their model by scraping data for free & when it comes to their code being open source, you see Takedowns lol. Interestingly, Anthropic made a bigger Contribution to open source itself.

Not their data.

Interesting that they’re not ok with that, but are completely fine with plenty of React Native and Flutter apps using OTA to update themselves without going through AppStore review like GM’s apps, Crypto.com and countless others

Remember when they wanted to charge for self hosted runners and “backed down”, let’s see how long it lasts

He reXed the author’s X post, so he might agree

The German-speaking world loves playing devils advocate in arguments. It is even seen as some form of duty to get to the truth.

It’s like they want people to not like them …

Yeah, they're so mean for not letting you abuse their loss leading product under the terms you accepted!

Did you try putting them in the freezer for 20 minutes?

curious: why would this help?

"...the thin wires carrying power can crack over time, specifically after hundreds or thousands of swivels of the earcups (since they turn 90 degrees to fit flat into their case). That microscopic crack can cause issues with the connection.

By freezing the AirPods, the cold can cause the lining around the wires to contract, temporarily bringing the cracked sections together."

Sounds ridiculous, but worked on mine! So far, the fix has stuck, too.

Same here, more than a year after the freezer, going strong

The platters come unstuck and can spin again.

They’ll likely come out with a 5.4-Codex at some point, that’s what they did with 5 and 5.2

It’s not. It’s their ultra thinking model that’s really good but takes 40 minutes to come up with an answer

It's available on OpenRouter. $180/1M output....

No Apple Intelligence, but my Macbook Air M1 with 8 GB of RAM is plenty usable still

It supports Apple Intelligence, all 8gb iPhones and iPads support Apple Intelligence and the promo materials for this Macbook Neo say it supports Apple Intelligence as well.

They were referring to their M1 not being able to support Apple Intelligence.

8 GB M1 MacBook Air does support Apple Intelligence.

Yes it does. I was clarifying what the commenter was saying; not making his statement myself.

akmarinov said their M1 doesn't support apple intelligence but they still think it's plenty usable; jasongill thought akmarinov was referring to the Neo and responded that the Macbook Neo does in fact support Apple intelligence; and I clarified what I think akmarinov intended to say.

correct, I thought he meant that the Neo does not support it, since his M1 Macbook does support Apple Intelligence but perhaps he's not aware of that or hasn't updated yet.

You are correct i indeed thought that you need at least 16 GB to support Apple Intelligence and I thought Neo doesn’t support it.

I stand corrected.

Minimax is $10/month. OpenAI/Claude have $20/month. You likely spend more on coffee these days

And you can’t run OpenAi / Claude subscriptions through OpenClaw without violating their ToS. You need to use API keys, which are pay as you go

Good point. If I quit coffee I could easily afford those :-)
