This isn't meant to diss Twitter. But it's worth knowing about the many ChatGPT + chrome extension scam ads floating around on social these days. I found this one running as a Twitter ad, but similar ones are likely on all ad platforms.
I find it hard to believe someone would fall for this type of scam, but it must be working well enough to keep running ads.
The ad [1] takes the user to a website [2] where they're prompted to join the beta to test a ChatGPT browser extension that helps create Google Ads. The website links to a github repo [3] with instructions on installing the extension in developer mode. On quick glance, the extension appears to log clipboard and keystrokes. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
